“Deepening (Vaginal Paintings)” – a painting cycle created in the first half of 2023.

“Deepening” means going deeper, with greater boldness, courage in action, further penetration, further search…

The subtitle of the series clearly indicates femininity. It is the element of femininity – delicate and greedy, wanting more – that became the topic of my creative reflections and searches.

The color pink, which returns in subsequent paintings in the series, has rather emotional connotations. In fact, it brings to mind feelings such as sweetness and tenderness in their purest form. Moreover, for many it is a symbol of romantic love and happiness. It is a combination of red and white, passion and delicacy, exuberance and peace. Depending on the saturation, it can stimulate or calm down. In psychology, pink is associated with sensitivity and delicacy. In our culture, pink is also associated with femininity.
