Impression is the primary and most basic human cognitive process. It arises as a result of the direct action of stimuli from the outside world or from inside the body on nerve endings, which triggers a mental reaction.

An impression is fleeting. It’s a moment, a pause. Things, phenomena, elements of the world seem to be something to me, but for you they may be completely different. The multitude of experiences can fascinate and overwhelm. The first impression imperceptibly affects perception and shapes the attitude towards the object. The paintings from this series are an attempt to capture emotions and moods for a moment.

The color yellow is repeated in each image. In psychology, its positive impact results from its association with the sun. The sun is energy, activity, joy and happiness. In nature, light is necessary for life. But yellow also meant hostility, betrayal and shamelessness. The impression is ambiguous. The world appears to be more than it really is.
