THE CYCLE "ORGANIC IMPROVISATIONS"
In 2024, I created a series of nine abstract-organic paintings that balance on the edge of expression, intuition, and light absurdity. This collection is full of intense color, fluid forms, and rhythmic textures, creating a dynamic, vibrant visual space.
The titles — “The Nervous Polar Bear,” “Earthworms Dancing in the Rain,” “Third Time’s the Charm,” “Repaired Pelvis,” “Falling Cherries,” “The First Peonies Are Here,” and “Spring Drizzle” — invite playful associations and spark the imagination. These absurd, humorous titles serve as a lighthearted complement to the paintings, which themselves express color and form.
Painterly gestures, color patches, and organic rhythms allow the viewer to find their own meanings and emotions without imposing a single interpretation. This is abstract painting that stimulates rather than explains.
The formats of the paintings vary, emphasizing their individual character and creative freedom.
The acrylic on canvas technique highlights the vitality and freshness of this series, creating a cohesive record of my painterly explorations from the first half of 2024.
